Blake concentrates his practice in the areas of probate, estate planning, criminal law, traffic, and DUI. He also has vast experience with administrative hearings including those for DCFS and Secretary of State driver’s license reinstatements. Blake is also familiar with real estate transactions, business entities, including LLCs, corporations, and partnerships, and serving as a Guardian ad Litem. Blake has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the N.D. of Illinois.

In addition to Blake's legal background, he has experience in the insurance industry, for which he has been involved since 1989. This experience gives him additional insight into estate planning and probate and allows him a different perspective than many other attorneys.

Prior to attending law school and helping to establish the family firm, Blake obtained his B.A. in Political Science and Masters in Public Administration, from Northern Illinois University. Blake served as an adjunct professor at the college level and has also served as a guest speaker in numerous forums, which has allowed him to share his knowledge and experience with students preparing to enter the workforce. Upon graduating from Law School, Blake assisted in establishing the family firm and has continued to work seamlessly with his siblings and business partners since its establishment.

In his spare time, Blake volunteers as a member of NIU College of Law’s Alumni Council and as a mentor to both law students and recently licensed attorneys. In his capacity as a mentor, he helps to advise and assist prospective and newly licensed attorneys in navigating the legal world and the difficulties new attorneys face. Blake also participates and attends various community events each year which are focused on benefiting members of the community who are in need.

Blake has also been awarded Northern Illinois University College of Law’s Outstanding Public Service Award. The Law School presents this award to graduates who have shown outstanding service to the College of Law by demonstrating service to the community and/or profession, possessing outstanding professional accomplishments and upholding professional integrity.
